Only one week after similar flooding which left 181 miners missing, water rushed into a coal mine in southwestern China and trapped eight workers.
More than 200 rescuers are still trying to reach the eight miners who are trapped under the ground since Thursday.
The precise cause of the accident is being investigated but nothing has so far been reported.
Last Friday a swollen river burst its banks and flooded two coal shafts in eastern China's Shandong province, trapping 172 workers in one pit and nine in another
