One killed in Mingo County mine accident

CHARLESTON, W.Va.
Officials have released the name of the miner killed yesterday in a roof fall in Mingo County
State Trooper P.A. Sparks has identified the victim as 35-year-old Brent Reynolds of Virgie, Kentucky.
Terry Farley with the Office of Miners' Health, Safety and Training says the accident occurred at the Consol of Kentucky Bronzite Mine near Naugatuck yesterday afternoon.
This is the second Mingo County mine fatality in less than a month. In August, section foreman Stevie Joe Browning died after he suffered head injuries at the Rockhouse Creek Development Number Eight Mine near Gilbert.
